Job Overview
This role involves designing and implementing urban development projects that integrate environmental sustainability with community needs. The position is based in Zwedru, a key economic hub in Grand Gedeh County undergoing significant infrastructure modernization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop master plans for sustainable urban expansion
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for proposed developments
- Coordinate with local governments and community stakeholders
- Design climate-resilient infrastructure solutions
- Prepare cost-benefit analyses for urban projects
- Monitor construction compliance with planning standards
Required Skills
- Proficiency in GIS mapping software
- Expertise in sustainable design principles
- Strong stakeholder engagement abilities
- Urban policy analysis experience
- Project management certification (PMP/CBAP)
- Fluency in local languages (Kpelle preferred)
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or related field
- Master’s Degree in Urban Development (advantageous)
Experience
- 3-5 years in urban development projects
- Experience in West African urban planning contexts
- Proven track record in sustainable infrastructure projects
Salary
1,500,000 – 2,500,000 LRD per month, commensurate with experience and project impact.
