Job Overview

The Project Controls Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring that CRCC Liberia’s construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Senior Project Controls Manager, you will develop and maintain project schedules, cost forecasts, and performance metrics, providing critical insights to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts, monitoring variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Generate regular performance reports, including Earned Value Management (EVM) analyses, to track project health.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment of scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, maintaining a risk register throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support contract administration by reviewing change orders and ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
  • Facilitate progress meetings, presenting data-driven insights to stakeholders.
  • Implement and enforce project control standards and best practices across all sites.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in project scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost control tools.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a solid grasp of Earned Value Management principles.
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting to senior management and interfacing with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project components simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of local construction regulations and international standards.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach to risk management.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a closely related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI‑ACP, or a certification in Primavera P6 are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of hands‑on experience in project controls within the construction or infrastructure sector. Experience on large‑scale public works or transportation projects in Africa is a strong plus.

Salary

The monthly salary range for this role is 2,500,000 – 4,500,000 Liberian dollars (SSP), commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses may be awarded based on project outcomes.
