Job Overview
This role is part of Olam’s initiative to strengthen Liberia’s agricultural sector through data-driven supply chain solutions. The position requires analyzing production, logistics, and market trends to optimize sustainable farming practices. Candidates will collaborate with local cooperatives, government agencies, and international partners to ensure compliance with global sustainability standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct supply chain audits for agricultural commodities (e.g., coffee, cocoa) to identify inefficiencies.
- Develop strategies to reduce post-harvest losses and improve farmer productivity.
- Monitor compliance with sustainability certifications (e.g., Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance).
- Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize transportation and storage solutions.
- Prepare reports for stakeholders on supply chain performance and risk mitigation.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in supply chain analytics tools (e.g., SAP, Tableau).
- Knowledge of Liberia’s agricultural policies and export regulations.
- Strong negotiation skills for supplier and farmer partnerships.
- Experience in sustainable agriculture or circular economy practices.
- Fluency in English and basic knowledge of local languages (e.g., Kpelle, Grebo).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Agricultural Economics, or related field.
- Master’s degree preferred but not mandatory.
Experience
- 3-5 years in supply chain roles within agriculture or food processing sectors.
- Proven track record in implementing sustainability initiatives.
Salary
1,500,000 – 2,000,000 LRD per annum, depending on experience.
