Job Overview
The Retail Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of Shoprite’s flagship store in Monrovia, ensuring exceptional customer service, optimal inventory management, and achievement of sales targets. Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director, you will oversee a team of department managers, supervisors, and front‑line staff, driving performance through coaching, data‑driven decision making, and adherence to corporate standards. This position plays a critical role in executing Shoprite’s strategic initiatives, including the rollout of omnichannel services, sustainability programs, and community outreach projects. Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise all store operations, including sales, merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention.
- Develop and implement weekly and monthly sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Analyze performance metrics, generate reports, and present actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Recruit, train, and mentor department managers and staff, fostering a high‑performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards specific to Liberia.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee supply‑chain efficiency.
- Lead store marketing initiatives, promotional events, and community engagement activities.
- Oversee visual merchandising standards to maintain brand consistency.
- Implement digital tools such as POS systems and e‑commerce integrations to enhance customer experience.
- Monitor budgetary expenditures, control costs, and optimize profit margins.
