Job Overview

The Environmental Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all Shell Liberia operations in Bong Mines adhere to environmental laws, regulations, and internal policies. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections of all operational sites in Bong Mines.
• Prepare and submit accurate environmental compliance reports to local authorities and corporate headquarters.
• Develop and implement environmental management plans, ensuring alignment with national regulations and Shell’s internal standards.
• Identify potential environmental impacts and recommend mitigation strategies.

• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

• Proficiency in environmental monitoring tools and data management software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or equivalent are advantageous.

Experience

Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in environmental compliance, preferably within the oil and gas industry. Prior experience conducting audits, preparing regulatory submissions, and managing environmental incidents is essential.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 4,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be provided.
