Job Overview
This role is part of Pearson’s initiative to expand digital learning infrastructure in Liberia. The Educational Technology Specialist will design, implement, and manage technology-based educational programs in partnership with schools and training institutions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy digital learning platforms tailored to Liberian educational standards
- Collaborate with educators to integrate technology into curricula and teaching methodologies
- Provide training and technical support for teachers and students on educational software tools
- Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in digital learning infrastructure
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of technology-driven educational programs
Required Skills
- Proficiency in educational software development (e.g., LMS platforms, interactive learning tools)
- Strong understanding of Liberian education system and pedagogical practices
- Excellent project management and cross-cultural communication skills
- Experience in designing accessible digital content for diverse learner demographics
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in low-bandwidth environments
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field
- Master’s Degree preferred (Education Technology, Digital Learning)
Experience
- 3-5 years in educational technology implementation or instructional design
- Previous experience in sub-Saharan Africa or emerging markets is an advantage
Salary
12,000,000 – 16,000,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
