Job Overview
The Credit Portfolio Manager will lead the end‑to‑end management of the bank’s credit portfolio, ensuring optimal risk‑adjusted returns while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute credit portfolio strategies aligned with the bank’s risk appetite and growth targets.
- Conduct comprehensive credit assessments, including financial statement analysis, cash‑flow modeling, and industry risk evaluation.
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risk trends, and recommend corrective actions to senior management.
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure tailored financing solutions for corporate and SME clients.
- Prepare regular portfolio reports, risk dashboards, and stress‑testing scenarios for internal and regulatory review.
- Lead credit committee presentations, providing clear recommendations and supporting documentation.
- Ensure adherence to Basel III guidelines, local banking regulations, and Ecobank’s internal credit policies.
- Mentor junior credit analysts, fostering a culture of analytical rigor and ethical decision‑making.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling and credit scoring.
- In‑depth knowledge of banking regulations, Basel standards, and risk management best practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Education
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent are highly desirable and will be considered an asset.
Experience
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in credit analysis, portfolio management, or risk assessment within a commercial banking environment. Experience managing corporate or SME credit portfolios is essential.
Salary
The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 4,500,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the compensation package.
