Job Overview

The Supply Chain Manager will lead the end‑to‑end logistics, procurement, and inventory management functions for Nestlé’s Cestos hub. Reporting to the Regional Supply Chain Director, the role is pivotal in ensuring product availability, cost efficiency, and compliance with Nestlé’s global standards. The manager will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Production, Quality Assurance, Sales, and Finance, to optimize the flow of raw materials and finished goods. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with Nestlé’s global policies and local market dynamics.
  • Manage procurement activities, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and ensure compliance with ethical sourcing standards.
  • Oversee inventory planning, demand forecasting, and warehouse operations to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Coordinate transportation and distribution networks, optimizing routes to reduce lead times and costs.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order fill rate, inventory turnover, and cost per unit.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with local suppliers to build capacity, promote sustainability, and support local economic growth.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures in West Africa.
  • Effective communication skills in English; French is a plus.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or PMP are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in supply chain management within the Food & Beverage or FMCG sector. Proven track record of managing complex logistics networks, supplier relationships, and inventory optimization in a multinational environment is essential.

Salary

The annual compensation package ranges from 2,500,000 to 4,000,000 Liberian dollars (SSP), commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a retirement savings plan.
