Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our expanding infrastructure team in Gbarnga. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct complex geotechnical investigations and interpret subsurface data for major infrastructure projects.
  • Perform advanced numerical modeling and analysis of soil-structure interactions.
  • Develop detailed geotechnical design reports, including recommendations for foundations, retaining structures, and slope stability.
  • Collaborate with structural and civil engineers to integrate geotechnical findings into overall project designs.
  • Supervise site investigations and ensure compliance with international testing standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians on-site.
  • Review and approve geotechnical specifications and construction methodologies.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in geotechnical modeling software such as PLAXIS or GeoStudio.
  • In-depth knowledge of international geotechnical standards and Eurocode/ASTM protocols.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities regarding complex soil mechanics.
  • Excellent technical writing skills for producing high-level engineering reports.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders.

Education

A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field is required. A PhD in a specialized geotechnical discipline is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering, specifically within the heavy infrastructure or large-scale construction sector. Proven experience in managing complex site investigations and delivering technical designs for high-stakes projects is essential. Salary
