Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Incident Responder to join our Security Operations Center in Gbarnga. This role is critical to our mission of protecting our clients’ digital infrastructure from evolving cyber threats. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the identification, containment, and eradication of advanced persistent threats (APTs) and malware infections.
- Perform deep-dive forensic analysis on compromised systems and network traffic to determine the root cause of security incidents.
- Develop and refine incident response playbooks to streamline reaction times across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to implement security patches and configuration changes.
- Provide detailed post-incident reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM and EDR tools to proactively identify potential vulnerabilities.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in network protocols, firewall management, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools.
- Expertise in digital forensics and malware analysis techniques.
- Strong understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat actor methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
- Exceptional communication skills for translating technical findings into business impact reports.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, or CISSP are highly preferred and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in a dedicated Security Operations Center (SOC) or incident response role. Proven experience in managing large-scale security breaches and conducting forensic investigations is essential for success in this position.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 450,000 SSP to 750,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s expertise and technical certifications.
