Job Overview
WFP Liberia seeks a Public Health Nutritionist to design and implement nutrition programs targeting malnutrition, maternal health, and child development. The position supports WFP’s mission to achieve Zero Hunger in Liberia while collaborating with local governments, NGOs, and international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute community-based nutrition programs focusing on maternal, infant, and child health.
- Conduct nutritional assessments and data analysis to identify high-risk populations.
- Collaborate with local health facilities to integrate nutrition services into primary healthcare.
- Train community health workers on nutrition education and emergency feeding protocols.
- Monitor program impact through surveys and report findings to WFP headquarters and donors.
Required Skills
- Expertise in designing nutrition interventions for crisis-affected populations.
- Strong data collection and analysis skills using SPSS or similar software.
- Fluency in English and Liberian languages (Kpelle preferred).
- Experience working in rural or underserved communities.
- Ability to manage multi-stakeholder partnerships and secure funding through proposals.
Education
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, or International Development.
- Certification in Community Nutrition or Emergency Nutrition Management is an asset.
Experience
- 3-5 years in public health nutrition, with a focus on program design and evaluation.
- Previous experience in Liberia or West Africa is highly desirable.
Salary
2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
