Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize mineral processing flowsheets for iron ore, bauxite, and other minerals.
- Conduct metallurgical testing and analysis to improve recovery rates and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with plant engineers to implement process improvements and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards in all processing activities.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in mineral processing engineering, with a focus on African mining environments.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., HSC Chemistry, ProCirc).
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating metallurgical data and optimizing processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to sustainable mining practices and environmental responsibility.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field.
- Master’s Degree preferred but not required.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in mineral processing, with a focus on African mining operations.
- Experience in iron ore or bauxite processing is highly advantageous.
Salary
1,500,000 – 2,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
