Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Hydropower Plant Technician to join our specialized operations team in Nimba. This role is critical to ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our hydroelectric facilities. As a technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex turbine and generator systems. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on hydroelectric turbines, governors, and generators.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in high-voltage equipment.
- Execute emergency repairs to minimize downtime and ensure continuous power supply.
- Monitor control systems and telemetry data to optimize plant performance.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement system upgrades and efficiency improvements.
- Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities and equipment performance metrics.
- Adhere strictly to international safety standards and environmental regulations.

Education
A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field is required for this position. Candidates must demonstrate a strong theoretical foundation in power systems and fluid dynamics.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and operation of large-scale hydroelectric plants or similar heavy industrial power generation facilities is mandatory. Proven experience with Siemens or similar high-end industrial control systems is highly preferred.
Salary
The starting salary for this position is 45,000 SSP per month, with a maximum range of 65,000 SSP based on technical expertise and performance evaluations.
