Job Overview
The Hospital Administrator will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of IMC’s flagship hospital in Monrovia, ensuring efficient delivery of clinical services, compliance with national health regulations, and alignment with organizational standards. Reporting to the Country Director, the incumbent will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and operational excellence. This position plays a pivotal role in advancing IMC’s strategic objectives, strengthening partnerships with the Ministry of Health, and expanding access to quality health care for vulnerable populations. Key Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate all hospital functions, including clinical services, support services, finance, and human resources.
- Develop and monitor annual budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and optimal resource allocation.
- Implement and enforce compliance with Liberian health regulations, accreditation standards, and IMC policies.
- Lead performance management processes, including staff recruitment, training, evaluation, and retention.
- Collaborate with the Ministry of Health, donors, and partner NGOs to align hospital services with national health priorities.
- Oversee procurement, inventory management, and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Prepare regular operational reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team‑building capabilities with a collaborative management style.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience managing large budgets.
- In‑depth knowledge of Liberian health regulations and international healthcare standards.
- Proven ability to develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.

- Proficiency in health information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree in Health Management or Business Administration is highly desirable and will be considered an asset.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in hospital administration, health services management, or a comparable leadership role within a healthcare setting. Experience in humanitarian or nonprofit health programs is advantageous.
Salary
The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from 2,500,000 to 3,500,000 Liberian SSP, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be offered.
