Job Overview
This role leads the design and implementation of environmental education programs tailored to Bomi City’s communities. The ideal candidate will drive awareness of sustainable practices, biodiversity conservation, and climate resilience through innovative outreach and collaboration with local stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver environmental education curricula for schools and community workshops.
- Coordinate partnerships with local NGOs, schools, and government agencies to expand program reach.
- Design interactive learning materials and digital resources for environmental literacy.
- Monitor and evaluate program impact through surveys and community feedback.
- Organize public campaigns to promote waste reduction, reforestation, and clean energy adoption.
Required Skills
- Expertise in curriculum development and adult education methodologies.
- Strong project management and cross-sector collaboration experience.
- Proficiency in creating engaging multimedia content for environmental advocacy.
- Fluency in Liberian English and local languages (e.g., Kpelle, Bassa) is an asset.
- Knowledge of climate change mitigation strategies and UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Education, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Environmental Policy or Public Administration preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in environmental education, community development, or public outreach.
- Proven success in managing multi-stakeholder projects in Liberia or West Africa.
Salary
5,000,000 – 7,000,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
