Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Chief Hydrological Engineer to lead our technical team in Gbarnga. This role is critical to our mission of managing complex water systems and predicting long-term hydrological trends. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of complex hydrological monitoring networks across various terrains.
- Supervise a multidisciplinary team of engineers and field technicians in data collection and analysis.
- Develop predictive models for flood mitigation and drought management to support local governance.
- Conduct comprehensive environmental impact assessments for new water infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with government agencies to ensure compliance with national water management policies.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of advanced hydrogeological sensors and equipment.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in hydrological modeling software such as MODFLOW or HEC-RAS.
- Expertise in groundwater flow dynamics and surface water-groundwater interaction.

Education
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or a closely related field. A PhD in Water Resources Engineering is highly preferred. Professional licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) is an essential requirement for this senior-level position.
Experience
Applicants must demonstrate at least seven years of progressive experience in hydrological engineering or water resource management. Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects and leading technical departments in a developing economy is highly desirable. Salary
