Job Overview

The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) will play a pivotal role in shaping the regulatory framework and ethical standards of our operations in Liberia. This executive-level position is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring a comprehensive compliance program that ensures all business activities align with local laws, international standards, and internal corporate policies. You will act as a strategic advisor to the board and senior management, identifying potential risks before they manifest and ensuring that the organization maintains its reputation for integrity. This is a high-impact role that requires a deep understanding of the Liberian legal system and international regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a robust compliance strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term business objectives.
• Monitor changes in local and international laws to ensure proactive adaptation of internal policies.
• Lead investigations into potential breaches of compliance and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments across all departments to identify vulnerabilities.

Education

Candidates must possess a Master of Laws (LLM), a Juris Doctor (JD), or an MBA with a specialization in Law or Risk Management. A professional certification such as CCEP (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) is highly preferred.

Experience

A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in legal compliance, regulatory affairs, or risk management within a professional services or large-scale corporate environment is required. Proven experience in a leadership or executive role is essential.

Salary

The offered salary for this position is between 450,000 SSP and 750,000 SSP per annum, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
