Job Overview
The Agricultural Supply Chain Analyst will oversee the end‑to‑end flow of agricultural commodities from farm to export terminal. Working closely with farmers, procurement officers, logistics partners, and quality assurance teams, the analyst ensures optimal inventory levels, cost‑effective transportation, and compliance with international standards. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize the supply chain network for cocoa, coffee, and other staple crops.
- Develop forecasting models to predict harvest volumes and align procurement schedules.
- Coordinate with local cooperatives to ensure timely collection and quality compliance.
- Monitor transportation routes, negotiate freight contracts, and track delivery performance.
- Implement data‑driven strategies to reduce lead times and minimize post‑harvest losses.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management highlighting cost savings and efficiency gains.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of agricultural commodity markets and supply chain best practices.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement across multiple levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is a plus.
Education
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Advanced certifications in logistics or data analytics are advantageous but not mandatory.
Experience
A minimum of three to five years of experience in agricultural supply chain, logistics, or commodity trading is required. Prior exposure to West African markets, especially Liberia, will be considered a strong asset.
Salary
Cargill Liberia offers a competitive salary range of SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 4,500,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the compensation package.
