Job Overview
This role focuses on optimizing the flow of agricultural products from farm to market while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards. The Agri-Food Logistics Coordinator will manage procurement, transportation, and storage of raw materials, collaborating with suppliers, distributors, and internal teams to streamline operations. This position is critical to supporting Nestlé Liberia’s mission of delivering nutritious food while fostering rural economic development.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement of agricultural raw materials from local farmers and suppliers.
- Optimize logistics networks for efficient transportation and storage of perishable goods.
- Monitor compliance with food safety, quality assurance, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain disruptions.
- Implement cost-saving strategies to improve supply chain efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory and distribution processes.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in agricultural supply chain logistics.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle SCM).
- Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights for process improvement.
- Fluency in English and basic knowledge of local agricultural practices.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Agricultural Economics, or related field.
- Advanced degree (Master’s) preferred but not required.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in agricultural logistics or supply chain coordination.
- Experience working in West African agricultural supply chains is a plus.
Salary
1,200,000 – 1,800,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and performance.
