Job Overview
The Senior Hydropower Plant Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and strategic planning of our hydroelectric facilities in the Nimba region. This is a high-impact role that requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership acumen. You will ensure that the plant operates at peak efficiency while adhering to the strictest safety and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all plant operations to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.

- Ensure strict compliance with local and international environmental and safety regulations.
- Monitor plant performance metrics and implement optimization strategies.
- Manage operational budgets and procurement of critical spare parts.
- Coordinate with government agencies and local stakeholders regarding energy distribution.
Required Skills
- Advanced expertise in hydroelectric turbine and generator mechanics.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Proficiency in SCADA and advanced plant monitoring software.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical grid synchronization and stability.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Education
A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is mandatory. A PhD in Energy Systems or a similar discipline is highly preferred.
Experience
A minimum of 8 years of experience in power plant operations, with at least 4 years in a senior management role specifically within the hydroelectric sector. Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects is essential.
Salary
The competitive salary range for this position is 450,000 to 750,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
