Job Overview

Vinci Construction seeks a dynamic Urban Infrastructure Development Specialist to lead projects in Voinjama, Liberia. This role will design, implement, and oversee urban development initiatives that align with national sustainability goals. The Specialist will collaborate with municipal authorities, community stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver infrastructure solutions that improve quality of life and economic opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute urban infrastructure projects, including road networks, drainage systems, and public utilities
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new developments
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project timelines and budgets
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and international safety standards
  • Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and cost-benefit analyses for stakeholders
  • Engage with local communities to address concerns and incorporate feedback into project designs

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in urban planning, civil engineering, or infrastructure development
  • Proficiency in CAD software, GIS mapping, and project management tools
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating urban development challenges
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities for multi-stakeholder collaboration
  • Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and climate resilience strategies
  • Fluency in English and basic knowledge of local languages (e.g., Kpelle, Bassa)

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
  • Master’s Degree preferred but not required

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in urban infrastructure development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Experience managing projects in developing economies or post-conflict regions is a strong advantage

Salary

10,000 – 15,000 Leones per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
