Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement market development strategies for Liberia’s agricultural sector
• Conduct market analysis and feasibility studies for new crops and export opportunities
• Collaborate with farmers’ cooperatives to improve post-harvest handling and storage solutions
• Develop training programs for smallholder farmers on value addition and market access
• Coordinate with international donors and NGOs to secure funding for infrastructure projects
• Monitor and report on market trends, pricing, and regional trade dynamics

Required Skills

• Proven experience in agricultural market development or rural economics
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities
• Knowledge of regional trade agreements and export regulations
• Fluency in English and basic knowledge of local Liberian languages
• Ability to work in remote rural environments

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Economics, or related field

Experience

Salary

1,500,000 – 2,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
