Job Overview
The Sustainable Textile Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end manufacturing process of eco-friendly textiles within our Windhoek facility. This role is critical in bridging the gap between high-volume production and strict environmental compliance. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team to implement closed-loop water systems, source organic and recycled fibers, and optimize energy efficiency across the plant. Key Responsibilities
- Direct all daily operations of the textile production facility to ensure efficiency and sustainability targets are met.
- Implement and monitor the use of recycled polyester and organic cotton in the production line.
- Develop strategies to reduce water consumption and implement advanced wastewater treatment technologies.
- Collaborate with global sourcing teams to ensure raw materials are ethically procured and certified.
- Conduct regular audits of the production floor to ensure compliance with international environmental and safety standards.
- Manage the production budget, focusing on cost-reduction through energy efficiency and waste minimization.
- Lead training sessions for staff on sustainable manufacturing techniques and lean production principles.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve throughput.
Required Skills
- Expertise in sustainable textile chemistry and eco-friendly dyeing processes.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing large production teams.
- Deep knowledge of LEED certification and ISO 14001 environmental management systems.

Education

Experience
