Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Petroleum Reservoir Engineer to join our technical team in Paynesville. This role is critical to our long-term asset management and production optimization strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for characterizing complex reservoir systems, predicting fluid flow, and designing depletion strategies that maximize recovery while minimizing environmental impact. This is a high-impact position that requires a deep understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and advanced numerical simulation. Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex reservoir simulations to predict future production profiles and optimize well placement.
- Conduct detailed uncertainty analysis to mitigate risks associated with subsurface geological models.
- Collaborate with drilling and production teams to design completion strategies for high-pressure reservoirs.
- Monitor real-time production data to identify deviations from predicted reservoir behavior.
- Develop long-term field development plans (FDP) to ensure sustainable resource extraction.
- Lead technical reviews for new exploration prospects within the Liberian offshore and onshore blocks.
Required Skills
- Expertise in industry-standard software such as Eclipse, Petrel, or CMG.
- Advanced mathematical modeling and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of petrophysical properties and well testing interpretation.
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Education
A minimum of a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a closely related geophysical field is required. A PhD is highly preferred for this senior-level technical position.
Experience
Candidates must possess at least 7 years of direct experience in reservoir engineering within the upstream oil and gas sector. Salary
