Job Overview

The Renewable Energy Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role in evaluating, structuring, and monitoring financing solutions for solar, wind, and hydro projects throughout Liberia. Reporting to the Senior Investment Manager, the analyst will conduct financial modeling, risk assessments, and due‑diligence reviews to support investment decisions that align with IFC’s strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed financial models for renewable energy projects, incorporating revenue streams, capital costs, and operating expenses.
  • Perform comprehensive risk analyses, including market, regulatory, and environmental factors, to inform investment decisions.
  • Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and reports for internal committees and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project developers, engineers, and legal advisors to ensure accurate data collection and compliance with local regulations.
  • Monitor post‑investment performance, track key financial metrics, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Support the preparation of loan and equity financing structures, including covenant negotiations and documentation.
  • Stay updated on Liberia’s renewable energy policies, incentives, and market trends to provide strategic insights.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling using Excel or specialized software.
  • Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and market dynamics in West Africa.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Education
