Job Overview

The Network Optimization Engineer will lead the design, analysis, and enhancement of MTN Liberia’s radio access network (RAN) to ensure optimal performance, capacity, and coverage. Working closely with the Radio Planning, Operations, and Quality Assurance teams, the engineer will apply advanced analytics, drive optimization projects, and implement best practices that align with the company’s strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze network performance data to identify bottlenecks, coverage gaps, and capacity constraints.
• Develop and execute optimization plans, including parameter tuning, antenna adjustments, and load balancing.
• Collaborate with the Radio Planning team to validate and refine network designs based on real‑world measurements.
• Conduct drive tests, KPI monitoring, and post‑implementation audits to verify improvement outcomes.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to senior management and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Stay updated on emerging 5G technologies and recommend feasible integration pathways for MTN Liberia.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in network optimization tools such as Atoll, Mentum Planet, or similar.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI analysis, drive‑test data interpretation, and statistical modeling.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a data‑driven mindset.
• Effective communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in network optimization, RF engineering, or related fields are advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to professional growth.

Experience
