Job Overview
The Network Deployment Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, installing, and optimizing Orange Liberia’s radio access network (RAN) in the Tubmanburg region. Reporting to the Head of Network Operations, the successful candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely rollout of base stations, adherence to quality standards, and seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute the deployment of 4G LTE and upcoming 5G base stations in Tubmanburg and surrounding areas.
- Conduct site surveys, assess feasibility, and coordinate with civil teams for tower construction and antenna installation.
- Configure, test, and commission radio equipment, ensuring compliance with Orange’s performance benchmarks.
- Collaborate with the RF planning team to optimize coverage, capacity, and handover parameters.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network topology, configuration changes, and deployment reports.
- Provide technical support during network integration, troubleshooting, and post‑deployment validation.
- Ensure all health, safety, and environmental standards are met throughout the deployment lifecycle.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in LTE/5G radio technologies, including BBU, RRU, and antenna systems.
- Strong knowledge of RF planning tools such as Atoll, Planet, or similar.
- Hands‑on experience with microwave backhaul, fiber optics, and power solutions.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work under tight project timelines.
- Effective communication skills for coordination with internal teams and external contractors.
- Commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Cisco CCNA, Huawei Certified Network Engineer, or equivalent are advantageous.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have 3‑5 years of proven experience in telecom network deployment, preferably within West African markets. Experience with Orange Group technologies or similar multinational operators is a distinct plus.
Salary
The role offers a competitive salary ranging from 2,500,000 to 3,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based incentives and annual bonuses are also part of the compensation package.
