Job Overview
The Mine Operations Supervisor will lead day‑to‑day activities at BHP’s Buchanan mining site, ensuring that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in line with environmental standards. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily mining operations, including drilling, blasting, loading, and haulage.
- Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, conducting regular toolbox talks and inspections.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with the engineering team to minimize downtime.
- Manage workforce scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with environmental officers to uphold sustainability standards.
- Prepare operational reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.

Minimum of five years of progressive experience in underground or open‑pit mining operations, with at least two years in a supervisory or lead role. Experience in West African mining environments is highly desirable.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from 1,500,000 to 2,500,000 SSP per month, reflective of experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and allowances are also part of the compensation package.
