Job Overview
The Insurance Claims Analyst will play a pivotal role in evaluating, processing, and resolving insurance claims submitted by policyholders in Liberia. Reporting to the Claims Manager, the analyst will ensure timely and accurate assessment of claim documentation, adherence to policy guidelines, and effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate claim submissions, ensuring completeness and compliance with policy terms.
- Conduct investigations, gather supporting evidence, and liaise with claimants, medical providers, and third‑party assessors.
- Calculate claim settlements accurately, applying appropriate deductibles, limits, and endorsements.
- Maintain detailed records in the claims management system, updating status and documenting decisions.
- Provide clear explanations of claim outcomes to policyholders, addressing inquiries and resolving disputes.
- Collaborate with underwriting, legal, and finance teams to address complex or high‑value claims.
- Identify trends and potential fraud indicators, escalating suspicious activities to the Fraud Prevention Unit.
- Assist in the development and improvement of claims processing workflows and standard operating procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
- Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
- Customer‑focused mindset with empathy and professionalism.
- Understanding of insurance principles, policy language, and regulatory requirements in Liberia.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) or equivalent are advantageous but not mandatory.
Experience
Applicants should have 2‑4 years of hands‑on experience in insurance claims processing, preferably within life, health, or property & casualty lines. Experience with digital claims platforms and exposure to the Liberian insurance market will be considered strong assets.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 1,200,000 to SSP 2,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and performance. Salary reviews are conducted annually.
