Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and charismatic Hospitality Guest Relations Specialist to join our team in Zwedru. This role is critical to our mission of providing personalized guest experiences. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for our VIP guests and frequent travelers, ensuring that every aspect of their stay is seamless and exceeding their expectations. This position requires a unique blend of emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of luxury service standards. You will be responsible for managing guest feedback, coordinating special requests, and working closely with various departments to ensure that the highest level of service is maintained throughout the guest journey. Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison for VIP guests, ensuring all preferences are noted and met proactively.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and Concierge departments to facilitate special guest requests.
- Resolve guest complaints and issues with empathy and efficiency to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Maintain an updated database of guest preferences and history to personalize future stays.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest areas to ensure they meet Marriott’s global standards.
- Provide detailed information about local attractions, dining, and services in the Zwedru region.
- Assist in the training of front-desk staff regarding guest engagement and service excellence.
Required Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Advanced conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport with diverse clientele.
- Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of cultural awareness and sensitivity to international guest needs.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Certifications in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or Luxury Service Standards will be considered a significant advantage.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a high-end hospitality environment, preferably in a Guest Relations, Concierge, or Front Office Supervisor role. Proven experience in handling VIP clients and managing complex guest requirements is essential for success in this role.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 65,000 SSP, depending on experience, qualifications, and performance during the probationary period.
