Job Overview

The Cloud Solutions Architect will design, implement, and optimize cloud-based financial services platforms for Microsoft’s clients in Liberia and the broader West African region. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design of cloud solutions for banking, payments, and digital wallet applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and security experts to ensure solutions meet performance, reliability, and compliance requirements.
• Develop reference architectures, best practice guides, and technical documentation for internal and client teams.
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost‑benefit analyses, and risk assessments for cloud migration projects.
• Provide technical mentorship and knowledge transfer to junior engineers and local partners.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, fintech trends, and regulatory changes in Liberia.

Required Skills

• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including IaaS, PaaS, and serverless computing.
• Strong understanding of financial services workflows, security protocols, and compliance frameworks (e.g., AML, KYC).
• Proficiency in infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager templates.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and micro‑services architecture.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work independently and lead multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or relevant fintech certifications are highly desirable.

Salary
