Job Overview
The Cloud Solutions Architect will design, implement, and optimize cloud-based financial services platforms for Microsoft’s clients in Liberia and the broader West African region. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design of cloud solutions for banking, payments, and digital wallet applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and security experts to ensure solutions meet performance, reliability, and compliance requirements.
- Develop reference architectures, best practice guides, and technical documentation for internal and client teams.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost‑benefit analyses, and risk assessments for cloud migration projects.
- Provide technical mentorship and knowledge transfer to junior engineers and local partners.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, fintech trends, and regulatory changes in Liberia.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including IaaS, PaaS, and serverless computing.
- Strong understanding of financial services workflows, security protocols, and compliance frameworks (e.g., AML, KYC).
- Proficiency in infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager templates.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and micro‑services architecture.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently and lead multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or relevant fintech certifications are highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience designing and deploying cloud solutions for financial institutions, with a proven track record of successful project delivery in emerging markets.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 4,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and stock options may be included as part of the overall remuneration.
