Job Overview

The Artificial Intelligence Ethics Specialist will lead the development and implementation of ethical frameworks for AI products and services used across Liberia and the broader West African region. Working within the Ethics and Responsible AI department, you will collaborate with engineers, product managers, legal teams, and external stakeholders to identify potential ethical risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with both local regulations and Google’s internal policies. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI ethics guidelines tailored to the Liberian context.
• Conduct risk assessments for AI projects, focusing on bias, fairness, transparency, and accountability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed ethical considerations throughout the product lifecycle.
• Engage with local communities, NGOs, and government agencies to gather feedback and ensure cultural relevance.
