Job Overview

The Water Resources Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of water infrastructure projects that improve access to safe water, enhance irrigation efficiency, and support flood mitigation in Liberia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive water‑resource assessments, including surface water and groundwater studies, to inform project design.
• Develop and calibrate hydraulic and hydrologic models using industry‑standard software (e.g., HEC‑RAS, SWAT).
• Design water supply, irrigation, and flood control infrastructure that meets local needs and regulatory standards.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications, construction drawings, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with local government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders to secure permits and ensure stakeholder buy‑in.
• Monitor construction activities, conduct site inspections, and provide technical support to contractors.
• Evaluate project performance through data collection, analysis, and reporting on key indicators.
• Lead capacity‑building workshops for local engineers and technicians.
• Prepare high‑quality technical reports, policy briefs, and donor documentation.
• Stay updated on emerging water‑management technologies and best practices.

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in water‑resources engineering, preferably with a focus on developing countries. Salary

The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 4,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salary is paid monthly and includes statutory benefits as required by Liberian labor law.
