Job Overview

The Sustainability Analyst will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives for BHP’s mining operations in Buchanan. Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, the analyst will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with local regulations, international best practices, and stakeholder expectations. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and report ESG data in line with GRI, SASB, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Support the preparation of sustainability reports, impact assessments, and stakeholder disclosures.
  • Monitor environmental performance indicators, including emissions, water usage, and waste management.
  • Engage with local communities, NGOs, and government agencies to address concerns and promote collaborative projects.
  • Assist in developing and implementing mitigation strategies for identified sustainability risks.
  • Provide training and guidance to operational staff on ESG best practices.
  • Track progress against BHP’s sustainability targets and recommend corrective actions.

Education

Salary
