Job Overview

The Construction Project Controls Engineer will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and reporting on project performance metrics for CRCC’s construction projects in Gbarnga and surrounding areas. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones.
  • Prepare cost control reports, variance analyses, and forecast updates to support financial decision‑making.
  • Implement earned value management (EVM) techniques to track project performance and identify corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with procurement and subcontractors to verify that material deliveries and work packages meet schedule requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address potential schedule and cost impacts.
  • Provide regular performance dashboards to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key trends and issues.
  • Support change order evaluation, ensuring proper documentation and cost impact analysis.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to integrate quality metrics into project controls processes.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in project scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost control tools.

Education

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of hands‑on experience in project controls within the construction industry, preferably on large‑scale infrastructure projects. Experience working in West Africa or similar emerging markets is advantageous.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 2,500,000 SSP to 4,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and performance. The package includes statutory benefits and performance‑based incentives.
