Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Infrastructure Architect to lead complex urban development projects in the Danneh region. This role is critical to our mission of delivering sustainable and resilient infrastructure that meets the growing needs of Liberia. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, and implementation of large-scale civil works, including transportation networks, water management systems, and urban housing developments. This is a high-impact role that requires a deep understanding of local geological conditions, regulatory frameworks, and international engineering standards. You will work closely with government officials, local contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure that every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural and structural design of major civil infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
- Conduct comprehensive site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project viability.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical, hydraulic, and electrical engineers.
- Ensure all designs comply with local Liberian building codes and international safety standards.
- Manage project timelines and resource allocation to ensure efficient delivery of milestones.
- Provide technical oversight and quality assurance during the construction phase on-site.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including government agencies and community leaders, to ensure project alignment.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
- Deep knowledge of structural mechanics, material science, and urban planning principles.
- Exceptional project management skills with experience in large-scale budget oversight.
- Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to mentor junior engineers and architects.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
- In-depth understanding of environmental impact assessment protocols.
Education
A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field is mandatory. A PhD in Urban Planning or Structural Engineering is highly desirable for this senior-level position.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in civil infrastructure design, with a proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-million dollar projects. Experience working in developing economies or West African markets is a significant advantage.
Salary
