Key Responsibilities
- Design and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) for complex industrial processes.
- Implement and troubleshoot Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to ensure real-time monitoring and control.
- Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to determine automation requirements for new manufacturing lines.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate automated systems into existing production frameworks.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automated machinery to minimize downtime.
- Provide technical support and training to client operators on new automation software and hardware interfaces.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal preferred).
- Deep understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, and Modbus.
- Strong diagnostic skills for troubleshooting complex electrical and control system faults.
- Ability to interpret intricate electrical schematics and P&ID diagrams.
- Excellent project management skills to handle multiple installation timelines simultaneously.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities in high-pressure environments.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a closely related technical field is mandatory. Candidates with specialized certifications in industrial automation or robotics will be given significant preference during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, specifically within a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting. Proven experience in commissioning new automated systems and managing large-scale electrical control panels is essential. Salary
