Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop industrial automation systems, including control panels, PLC programs, and HMI interfaces.
- Configure and integrate SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control of industrial processes.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their automation needs and propose effective solutions.
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and validation to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation systems during and after implementation.
- Develop documentation, including system design specifications, user manuals, and maintenance guides.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in industrial automation and digital manufacturing.
- Train client personnel on the operation and maintenance of automation systems.
- Ensure all automation projects adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens SIMATIC, Allen-Bradley).
- Experience with SCADA systems (e.g., WinCC, Ignition, FactoryTalk).
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, sensors, and actuators.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and client management abilities.
- Project management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in industrial automation or control systems (e.g., Siemens Certified Professional) are highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation, control systems engineering, or a related role. Experience in manufacturing, process industries, or energy sectors is preferred. Proven track record of successfully delivering automation projects from conception to completion.
