Job Overview
Vodacom Liberia is seeking a highly skilled Network Optimization Engineer to lead efforts in enhancing network performance and coverage across Gbarpolu. This role is critical to ensuring seamless connectivity for residents and businesses, supporting Liberia’s digital transformation goals. The position offers opportunities to work with state-of-the-art 4G/5G infrastructure and contribute to national broadband expansion initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze network performance data to identify optimization opportunities
- Design and implement network improvements for voice, data, and internet services
- Collaborate with technical teams to resolve signal interference and coverage gaps
- Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to maintain service quality standards
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to senior management
- Stay updated on emerging telecommunications technologies and regulatory requirements
Required Skills
- Expertise in network optimization tools (Atoll, NetMon, etc.)
- Strong understanding of 4G/5G network architecture and protocols
- Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex network issues
- Experience with RF planning and capacity management
- Excellent analytical and data interpretation abilities
- Fluency in English and basic knowledge of local languages (preferred)
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
- Postgraduate qualification in Network Management (advantageous)
Experience
- 3-5 years in network engineering, optimization, or telecommunications operations
- Proven track record in deploying network solutions in rural or underserved areas
Salary
1,500,000 – 2,500,000 LRD per month, commensurate with experience and performance.
