Job Overview

This role focuses on designing, optimizing, and maintaining solar energy systems to support Liberia’s energy independence goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee the installation of photovoltaic systems for residential and commercial use
  • Conduct feasibility studies for solar energy projects in underserved regions
  • Monitor system performance and implement efficiency improvements
  • Train local technicians in solar panel maintenance and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to secure permits and funding for renewable initiatives

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in solar system design software (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD)
  • Strong analytical skills for energy output forecasting
  • Knowledge of Liberian energy regulations and grid infrastructure
  • Bilingual communication (English and French preferred)
  • Problem-solving in remote field environments

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Certification in Renewable Energy Systems (RECS) is an advantage

Experience

  • 3-5 years in solar energy project management
  • Proven experience in sub-Saharan Africa energy markets

Salary

1,200,000 – 1,800,000 LRD annually, based on experience and project impact.
