Job Overview
This role is pivotal in coordinating renewable energy initiatives in Buchanan, Liberia. The coordinator will manage project timelines, engage stakeholders, and ensure compliance with environmental and technical standards. The position supports EDF Renewables’ expansion into Liberia’s growing green energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project planning for solar and wind energy installations.
- Coordinate with local governments, NGOs, and community leaders for stakeholder alignment.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and technical specifications.
- Prepare progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven project management experience in energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and policies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software (e.g., Primavera).
- Fluency in English and basic knowledge of local languages (e.g., Kpelle).
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s Degree in Renewable Energy or Sustainable Development is a plus.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in energy project management, preferably in Africa. Prior experience with solar/wind energy projects is highly desirable.
Salary
1,500,000 – 2,500,000 LRD per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
