Job Overview

The Academic Program Director will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of Pearson’s educational programs in Liberia. Reporting to the Regional Education Manager, the director will collaborate with ministries, universities, NGOs, and private sector partners to ensure that curricula meet international standards while reflecting local cultural and economic contexts. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the rollout of K‑12 and higher‑education programs aligned with national education policies.
  • Coordinate with the Ministry of Education, local schools, and universities to customize curricula and assessment tools.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of curriculum designers, instructional designers, and field officers.
  • Monitor program performance using data‑driven metrics and produce quarterly impact reports.
  • Manage budgets, procurement, and resource allocation for program activities.
  • Facilitate partnerships with NGOs, donor agencies, and private sector stakeholders to secure funding and technical support.

Education

A Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum Development, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications in project management (PMP) or instructional design (e.g., ATD) are preferred.

Experience

Applicants must have 5‑7 years of progressive experience in academic program management, preferably within an international or non‑profit education setting. Experience working in West Africa or similar emerging markets is highly desirable.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from 1,200,000 SSP to 2,000,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and allowances may be provided.
