We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Specialist to lead our strategic sourcing initiatives in the Lofa region. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to ensure uninterrupted supply of manufacturing components.
• Negotiate complex commercial terms and pricing with local and international vendors.
• Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential new suppliers and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure all procured materials meet Cargill’s global standards.
• Monitor vendor performance through regular audits and key performance indicator (KPI) reviews.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, from requisition to final delivery and payment reconciliation.
• Implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising on material quality or delivery timelines.

Required Skills

• Advanced negotiation and contract management capabilities.
• Deep understanding of international logistics and customs regulations in West Africa.
• Proficiency in ERP software (such as SAP or Oracle) for procurement management.
• Strong analytical skills for spend analysis and forecasting.

• High level of integrity and commitment to ethical sourcing practices.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certification such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is highly preferred.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within the manufacturing or agricultural processing sectors. Proven experience in managing large-scale vendor portfolios and navigating complex regulatory environments is essential for success in this role.

Salary

The offered salary for this position is between 45,000 SSP and 65,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications. This competitive package reflects the high level of expertise required for this senior-level role.
