Job Overview
The Risk Management Consultant will join EY’s Risk Advisory team in Gbarnga, providing strategic risk assessment, mitigation planning, and compliance advisory to a diverse portfolio of clients. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments covering operational, financial, regulatory, and strategic domains for clients across sectors such as banking, mining, agriculture, and telecommunications.
- Develop customized risk mitigation strategies, control frameworks, and monitoring tools that align with international standards and local regulations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate risk considerations into business processes, technology implementations, and project plans.
- Prepare detailed risk reports, presentations, and executive summaries for senior client stakeholders and EY partners.
- Support audit and compliance engagements by identifying gaps, recommending remediation actions, and tracking implementation progress.
- Stay abreast of emerging risk trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to provide proactive advisory services.
- Mentor junior analysts, review their work products, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of presenting complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in risk management tools and software such as RSA Archer, SAP GRC, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of Liberian regulatory environment, including banking regulations, anti‑money laundering (AML) standards, and corporate governance frameworks.
- Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Team‑player attitude with a collaborative approach to delivering high‑quality client outcomes.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is required. A master’s degree or professional certifications such as Certified Risk Analyst (CRA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants should possess 5‑7 years of relevant experience in risk consulting, internal audit, compliance, or a similar advisory role. Experience working with multinational clients or within the Liberian market is preferred. Demonstrated success in delivering risk‑focused projects and a track record of building strong client relationships are essential.
Salary
The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 3,500,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and annual salary reviews are part of EY’s compensation philosophy.
